Local Associations
NYHIMA is comprised of eight Component Local Associations (CLAs) which serve as an important platform for professional networking and keeping members apprised of local matters that affect health information management.
NYHIMA's CLA's are located throughout New York State and provide members with access to local educational offerings, networking, as well as leadership opportunities. NYHIMA members are encouraged to join their local association which is determined by the county in which he/she is employed and or resides.
Adirondack Health Information Management Association (AdHIMA)
Any NYHIMA member in good standing who is employed or who resides in Essex, Fulton, Warren, Hamilton, Saratoga, Washington, Rensselaer, Columbia, Greene, Albany, Schenectady, Montgomery, Schoharie, Otsego, Delaware, or Herkimer County may become a member of AdHIMA.
Central New York Health Information Management Association (CNYHIMA)
Any NYHIMA member in good standing who is employed or who resides in Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Otsego, Schoharie, Tioga, or Tompkins County may become a member of CNYHIMA.
Health Information Management Association of New York City (HIMANYC)
Any NYHIMA member in good standing who is employed or who resides in one of the 5 boroughs of NYC may become a member of HIMANYC.
Health Information Management Association of Western New York (HIMAWNY)
Any NYHIMA member in good standing who is employed or who resides in the counties of Erie, Niagara, Genesee, Chautaugua, Wyoming, Cattaraugus, Orleans and Allegheny may become a member of HIMAWNY.
Long Island Health Information Management Association (LIHIMA)
Any NYHIMA member in good standing who is employed or who resides in Nassau or Suffolk Counties may become a member of LIHIMA
Northern New York Health Information Management Association (HIMANNY)
Any NYHIMA member in good standing who is employed or who resides in St. Lawrence, Franklin or Clinton Counties may become a member of HIMANNY.
Rochester Regional New York Health Information Management Association (RRHIMA)
Any NYHIMA member in good standing who is employed or who resides in Allegany, Chemung, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne, and Yates Counties may become a member of RRHIMA.
Tappan Zee Health Information Management Association (TZHIMA)
Any NYHIMA member in good standing who is employed or who resides in Westchester or Rockland County may become a member of TZHIMA.
